1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the use of www.chairguardco.com and purchases made through the website.
The website is operated under the brand name Chairguardco, offering dining chair accessories, including chair cushions, chair back covers, chair leg covers, chair leg pads and dining chair dust covers.
By placing an order, you agree to the terms applicable to that purchase. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before completing your order.
These terms are intended to be interpreted in accordance with applicable French law and relevant European Union legislation. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any mandatory rights or remedies that apply to consumers under the law.
2. Business and Contact Information
Brand Name: Chairguardco
Website: https://www.chairguardco.com
Customer Service Email: monitor@chairguardco.com
For questions about products, orders, delivery, returns or refunds, please contact monitor@chairguardco.com.
3. Products and Product Information
Chairguardco provides product information, descriptions, images, dimensions, colours and other relevant details on the applicable product pages.
Customers should review the available information before placing an order, including product dimensions, materials, colours and intended use.
We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions and images correspond to the items offered for sale. However, colours may appear differently depending on screen settings and viewing conditions.
Any material discrepancy between the product supplied and the contractual description will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
4. Prices and Payment
All prices, applicable taxes, delivery charges and other mandatory costs will be displayed or communicated as required by applicable law before an order is placed.
Customers are responsible for reviewing the final order summary before confirming a purchase.
Payment must be completed using the payment methods made available at checkout. Payments are processed through Stripe, which provides payment processing services in accordance with its applicable terms and privacy documentation.
An order is accepted for processing once the relevant order and payment checks have been completed and confirmation has been issued.
If a genuine pricing, availability or order-processing error is identified, we will contact the customer and handle the matter in accordance with applicable law. We will not make unilateral changes to an agreed order where customer agreement is legally required.
Each purchase is a separate transaction. Orders are not subject to recurring charges unless a separate arrangement is expressly offered and agreed to by the customer.
5. Order Confirmation and Cancellation
After an order is submitted, an order confirmation will normally be sent to the email address provided at checkout.
Customers should review the confirmation and contact monitor@chairguardco.com promptly if they identify an error in their delivery details or order information.
A cancellation request made before dispatch will be reviewed according to the order’s status and applicable law. Once an order has been dispatched, the statutory right of withdrawal described in Section 8 may apply.
Nothing in this section limits any cancellation right that must be provided by law.
6. Shipping and Delivery
6.1 Delivery Destinations
Chairguardco serves customers in France and other European destinations made available at checkout.
Delivery availability, applicable charges and estimated delivery periods will be displayed during the ordering process or in the relevant order correspondence.
6.2 Delivery Methods and Estimated Time
Orders are arranged for dispatch using available delivery services, which may include DHL, FedEx and UPS Priority services.
For deliveries to France, the estimated delivery period is 5–12 business days. The applicable estimate and any relevant delivery information will be communicated through the website or order correspondence.
Delivery estimates are provided for planning purposes. Actual delivery may be affected by circumstances such as public holidays, severe weather, customs procedures where applicable, address issues or carrier delays.
Where a delivery delay becomes apparent, we will take reasonable steps to review the situation and provide relevant updates.
6.3 Dispatch and Tracking Notifications
We use the email address supplied at checkout to send order-related notifications.
Where tracking information is available, notifications may be sent at key stages, including:
- Order dispatch.
- Arrival at a carrier facility or other relevant logistics point.
- Progress towards local delivery.
- Local delivery or other significant tracking updates, where available.
Customers should check their inbox and spam or junk folders for these messages.
If tracking information does not update as expected, please contact monitor@chairguardco.com and include your order number.
6.4 Delayed, Lost or Undelivered Orders
If an order exceeds the stated delivery estimate, customers may contact us at monitor@chairguardco.com.
We will review the order details and, where appropriate, initiate an enquiry with the relevant carrier to investigate the delay, loss or delivery status.
Following the investigation, we will assess the appropriate resolution based on the circumstances, which may include a replacement shipment or a full refund where appropriate.
If an order has not been delivered within the applicable agreed delivery period, the customer’s statutory rights concerning delayed or failed delivery remain unaffected. Where the law permits or requires cancellation and reimbursement, we will comply with the applicable requirements.
6.5 Responsibility for Goods During Delivery
Where mandatory consumer law applies, the risk of loss of or damage to goods remains with Chairguardco until the customer, or a third party designated by the customer other than the carrier, physically takes possession of the goods.
The risk may transfer earlier only where the customer independently commissions a carrier not offered by Chairguardco and the applicable legal conditions for that exception are met.
Handing a parcel to a carrier does not, by itself, transfer the delivery risk to the customer.
7. Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items
If an item arrives damaged, defective or materially different from the item ordered, please contact monitor@chairguardco.com as soon as reasonably practicable.
To help us assess the matter, please provide:
- Your order number.
- A brief description of the issue.
- Clear photographs showing the item and any visible damage or discrepancy.
- Photographs of the outer packaging, where relevant and available.
We will review the information and explain the next steps.
Where the circumstances support a resolution without requiring the item to be returned, we may arrange a refund or replacement on the basis of the photographs provided. In such cases, a physical return may not be required.
Where a return, inspection or further information is reasonably necessary, we will explain the arrangements and comply with applicable legal requirements.
For goods covered by the statutory legal guarantee of conformity, remedies may include repair or replacement and, where the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or termination of the contract with reimbursement. Any required remedy will be provided in accordance with applicable law.
Customers are not required to waive their statutory rights merely because photographs have been requested or a particular returns procedure has been followed.
8. Right of Withdrawal: 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
8.1 Withdrawal Period
For eligible online purchases, consumers generally have the right to withdraw from the contract without giving a reason within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods, subject to statutory exceptions.
To exercise this right, please notify us clearly within the withdrawal period by emailing:
Please include your name, order number and an unambiguous statement that you wish to withdraw from the purchase.
You may use the model withdrawal form included in Section 8.5, but you are not required to use that particular form.
8.2 Returning the Goods
After notifying us of your withdrawal, you must send the goods back or hand them over in accordance with the applicable statutory time limit, normally within 14 days of communicating your decision to withdraw.
Unless we agree otherwise or applicable law requires a different arrangement, the customer bears the direct cost of returning goods when the customer exercises the ordinary right of withdrawal, provided that the customer was properly informed of this obligation before purchase.
The customer may handle the goods to the extent necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, as they would be permitted to do in a physical shop.
Where handling goes beyond what is necessary and results in diminished value, the customer may be liable for that diminished value in accordance with applicable law. This does not remove the right of withdrawal merely because packaging has been opened.
8.3 Refunds Following Withdrawal
When a valid withdrawal is exercised, we will reimburse the payments received for the relevant order, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered, where required by law.
Reimbursement will be made without undue delay and within the applicable statutory period, normally no later than 14 days after we are informed of the withdrawal.
Where permitted by law, we may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned goods or the customer has provided evidence that the goods have been sent back, whichever occurs first.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method unless the customer expressly agrees otherwise. No additional reimbursement fee will be charged.
Where the customer selected a more expensive delivery option than the least expensive standard option offered, the additional delivery cost is not required to be reimbursed to the extent permitted by law.
8.4 Exceptions
The statutory right of withdrawal does not apply to certain categories of goods specified by law, such as goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalised goods, where the relevant statutory conditions are met.
Any applicable exception will be assessed according to the nature of the product and the relevant legal requirements. Ordinary chair accessories are not excluded from withdrawal rights merely because their packaging has been opened.
8.5 Model Withdrawal Form
To: Chairguardco, monitor@chairguardco.com
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of sale of the following goods:
- Order number:
- Goods ordered:
- Date of order:
- Date of receipt:

9. Statutory Legal Guarantees
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or restricts statutory rights relating to defective or non-conforming goods.
For eligible consumer purchases in France, the statutory legal guarantee of conformity generally applies for two years from delivery of the goods, subject to the applicable legal conditions.
Where a product does not conform to the contract, the consumer may be entitled to repair or replacement and, where the relevant statutory conditions are met, a price reduction or termination of the contract with reimbursement.
The statutory guarantee of conformity is separate from the 14-day right of withdrawal. The expiry of the withdrawal period does not, by itself, remove statutory remedies for defective or non-conforming goods.
Customers may contact monitor@chairguardco.com to request assistance with a claim. We will handle the request in accordance with the applicable statutory procedures and time limits.
10. Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for providing accurate contact details, billing information and delivery addresses when placing an order.
Customers should review the product information and order summary before confirming a purchase.
If an address or contact detail needs to be corrected, please contact us as soon as possible. Changes may be subject to the stage of order processing and any applicable carrier restrictions.
Customers must not use the website for unlawful purposes or submit information that they are not entitled to provide.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available to customers under mandatory law.
11. Website Content and Acceptable Use
Website content is provided for the purpose of describing Chairguardco, its products and its services.
Visitors must not use the website in a manner that is unlawful, interferes with its normal operation, or attempts to gain unauthorised access to website accounts or systems.
Information submitted through the website should be accurate and relevant to the enquiry or transaction.
We may take proportionate action in response to unlawful activity or misuse of the website, subject to applicable law and any contractual obligations owed to customers.
12. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Subject to that requirement, Chairguardco is responsible for fulfilling its contractual obligations and for liabilities arising from its acts or omissions to the extent required by law.
We are not responsible for failures caused solely by circumstances beyond our reasonable control where the applicable legal conditions for relief are satisfied. Where such circumstances affect an order, we will take reasonable steps to communicate relevant information and address the consequences in accordance with applicable law.
Nothing in this section excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13. Privacy and Personal Information
Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Information may be used to process orders, arrange delivery, respond to customer enquiries, manage returns, maintain records and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Payment processing is provided through Stripe. Relevant transaction information may be shared with Stripe for payment processing and related purposes, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
For further information about data collection, retention, disclosure and data protection rights, please consult the Privacy Policy available on www.chairguardco.com.
14. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern about a product or order, please contact monitor@chairguardco.com and provide your order number and a description of the issue.
We will review the information and seek to address the matter through appropriate communication.
Where a dispute cannot be resolved directly, consumers may have access to an applicable consumer mediation procedure or other dispute resolution mechanism under the relevant national law.
For customers covered by French consumer law, the applicable consumer mediator’s name, postal address and website details must be provided in the website’s legal information once the relevant mediator has been identified.
Consumers may also bring proceedings before a competent court in accordance with applicable law. Nothing in these terms requires a consumer to waive a mandatory right to seek legal redress.
15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by French law, subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions that apply under European Union law or the law of the consumer’s country of habitual residence.
Where a consumer resides in another European country and applicable law grants that consumer mandatory protections, choosing French law does not deprive the consumer of those protections.
Jurisdiction will be determined in accordance with the applicable legal rules, including mandatory rules governing consumer contracts.
16. Amendments to These Terms
Chairguardco may revise these Terms and Conditions when necessary to reflect changes to its business operations, website functions or applicable legal requirements.
The revised version will be published on this page with an updated date.
The terms applicable to an order will be determined in accordance with the contract formed for that purchase and applicable law. Changes will not retrospectively remove rights already acquired under an existing contract.
